My love for interior design has been a central theme of my life. It started with making toddler dresses for my daughters as well as treating every window with a home-made roman shade and outfitting every sofa and bed with spectacular patterned pillows. I soon realized I had a knack for design.
After a decade in New York City and a move to California, I was excited at the possibility of a second career and attended graduate school at San Francisco State University, where I focused on designing family-oriented spaces and graduated with a Master of Arts in Interior Design.
Nowadays, as a mom of two young girls, I bring a unique perspective to interior design. I help clients work through the confusion of evolving trends to a focus on designs that fit into and improve their everyday lives. Oftentimes, improving my clients’ lives is done on a budget, an effort that always opens many interesting and creative possibilities.
Fashion has always been a compass for designing my home. I’ve discovered that color, texture and patterns that flatter me, work for my home and my lifestyle. I approach design for my clients in the same manner. I take notice of their special interests and incorporate this into a design concept, with an understanding that success consists not in imposing my sensibilities, but in guiding my clients to realize their personal style by way of beautiful spaces.
